Are you trying to find a way to make some extra money from the convenience of your home? The solution may lie in survey sites, and Toluna is one of the key participants in this arena.
Not only is it free to sign up, but the website also has a lot more to offer than simply surveys. We're talking competitions, product reviews, and even some games, all of which let you earn points that can be converted into gift cards or cash.
You must first sign up for a Toluna account, which is free.
How does Toluna function and what is it?
An online community platform called Toluna lists regular surveys that you may take to earn incentives.
The users who respond to these polls are referred to as "Toluna Influencers." The moniker "Toluna Influencers" comes from the fact that big brands use the surveys you take to learn what they're doing well, wrong, and what they ought to be doing.
Points are used to pay Toluna Influencers. These can then be exchanged for a variety of items, such as gift cards, entries into contests, or plain old cash.
On Toluna, incentives are available in a variety of ways besides surveys. By connecting with the Toluna community, taking part in games, and even viewing films, you can earn some extra treats.
What kind of earnings are possible with Toluna?
It's difficult to estimate your future earnings because the amount you get out of Toluna mostly depends on the amount you invest.
Given that, it is reasonable to claim that the best and most popular way to earn rewards on Toluna is via taking surveys.
Each one can pay between 15 and 50,000 points, according to their FAQs (depending on its length). The majority of the Toluna surveys that are available to us, however, pay between 2,000 and 4,000 points.
According to the amount of points needed to purchase each gift card value, £1 appears to be equivalent to 5,500 points.
If you wish to redeem points for a value lower this, you'll need to buy a gift card (or one of the weird products they sell, although we'd argue that they're not worth spending your hard-earned points on). You can only cash out to PayPal in £35 increments.
If you choose one of the vouchers for stores like Tesco or Amazon, which offer practically everything, your gift card will be equivalent to cash.
What's more, the Tesco and Amazon credits end up being more cost-effective than the £35 PayPal payout based on the number of points needed to purchase each worth of gift voucher!

The core of Toluna's offerings are surveys, as we touched on previously. There are typically many surveys available for you to do at any given moment, making them the most lucrative and dependable way to earn Toluna points.
The surveys, which cover a wide range of topics, are uploaded by brands who subsequently utilize the responses to inform their work.
We've seen polls on a variety of topics, including personal finance, shopping behavior, movies, travel, and sports. The quantity of points available for each one is shown along with how long it will take to finish it.
There are two advantages to completing Toluna surveys, with the major one being that you will be compensated more the more you complete. Additionally, Toluna will offer you more surveys that are more relevant to you as you complete more of them.
As a new Toluna Influencer, you may discover that you are frequently excluded from surveys after answering a few screening questions, such as "Do you have children?" This is done to determine whether or not you meet the desired response profile.
But eventually, Toluna will take into account your responses and personalize the kinds of surveys you receive going forward.
What kind of earnings are possible with Toluna surveys?
Most Toluna polls pay between 2,000 and 4,000 points and last five and twenty minutes. However, infrequently, some pay much more than this and some take a lot longer.
Since some surveys can take a long time and only pay a tiny amount, 5,500 Toluna points are roughly equivalent to £1, which isn't a tremendous sum. It therefore almost goes without saying that you should always give shorter surveys with greater incentives priority.
This decision can be challenging at times due to disparities in points and execution time. But don't worry about it. You can simply figure this out by dividing the offered points by the estimated number of minutes given by Toluna. This gives you what we'll refer to as the points per minute (PPM).
You can earn up to 300 PPM by taking the 10-minute General survey, which pays out 3,000 points.
The Lifestyle survey, on the other hand, pays 4,000 points and only requires 20 minutes, so you may make 200 PPM. The General survey is undoubtedly the most efficient use of your time!
You could even translate the PPM into an equal hourly wage if you want to take things a step further. Simply divide the result by 5,500 (the approximate worth of £1 in Toluna points), which is the result of multiplying the PPM by 60 to obtain the hourly points rate.
For all of the surveys that were available to us at the time of writing, we calculated the corresponding hourly rate and discovered that the average compensation was roughly £2.50. Nevertheless, there were a few anomalies; one paid approximately £5.50 per hour, while another paid only £0.82.
These values, as you would have anticipated, are well below the UK National Minimum Wage. But rather than discarding all of the surveys, we advise keeping with those that have the highest equivalent hourly rate.
The General survey in the image above, for instance, pays the equivalent of £3.27 per hour. Although this is below the minimum wage for people who are at least 18 years old, it is still a respectable option to supplement your income.
Fill out the profile questionnaires.
You may locate a section titled "Profile surveys" by selecting the "Account" tab in the menu. Unsurprisingly, these polls help Toluna get a better sense of who you are as a person and what interests you.
There are a total of 13 profile surveys, each of which can earn you up to 100 points and take a few minutes to complete.
Each survey can only be completed once, therefore it's better to do it when you initially sign up for Toluna so that moving forward you'll only be shown surveys that are pertinent to you.
Profile surveys are unquestionably one of the greatest ways to start making money on Toluna in terms of both the work needed and the points offered!
Vote in sponsored elections.
Again, go to the "Sponsored Polls" option at the top of the screen to access a plethora of straightforward multiple-choice polls.
This will take you to the community polls that have a points reward (usually 15 points apiece). It only takes a few seconds to finish each poll.
But let me give you a heads up. We've seen sponsored surveys in the past that offered no points at all.
Even if responding these won't take much of your time, it's always wonderful to be recognized for your efforts. Give the "Vote" button a quick look to see if it specifies a points value because otherwise, there is no reward for participating.
Participate in a contest where people lift trophies.

Toluna holds monthly competitions to entice people to contribute more to the community. In exchange, individuals that take part frequently receive some points and are entered into a prize drawing.
Consider their Movember competition in 2022. Toluna Influencers were encouraged to finish a word search and then post their best advice for dealing with mental illness in a special thread.
Ten participants were then randomly selected to get up to 1,000 points apiece. For a quick game, not bad!
recommend Toluna to a friend
Here at Save the Student, we enjoy receiving referral bonuses. And Toluna too has her good days.
You will receive 500 additional points for each friend (up to 10 per month) who successfully signs up after using your referral link to refer them.
Oh, and Toluna claims they verify each referral to ensure it is legitimate, so think twice before trying to create some phony email accounts to promote yourself!
Play games on Toluna
You may play a few entertaining mini-games on Toluna by clicking the "Games" tab in the navigation bar.
While some games are constantly open, others are only accessible for a little period of time. But more importantly, some can also help you score.
The Daily Toluna Wheel offers the best chance to earn points out of all the games, which are all free to play. If you avoid landing on the dreadful "Better luck next time" position, all it takes is one spin of the wheel to win anywhere between 40 and 1,000 more points. Gutted.
It is obvious that utilizing Toluna won't make you rich. However, if you're prepared to put in the time, you may definitely earn a little additional money on the site.
